Shipping Policy

Thank you for shopping with PrairiePets. We are committed to ensuring your order reaches you safely and in a timely manner. Please read the following shipping terms carefully before placing your order. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Order Processing

All orders are processed within 1–5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. Processing time may be extended during peak seasons, promotional periods, or unforeseen events including but not limited to supply chain disruptions, international customs issues, or fulfillment delays.

Estimated Shipping Times

Once processed, your order will be shipped via one of our international logistics partners. Estimated shipping duration ranges from 7 to 20 business days, depending on destination country, postal traffic, and customs clearance. Business days exclude weekends and public holidays.

While the majority of our shipments arrive within the estimated window, we cannot guarantee delivery dates and are not responsible for any delays caused by third-party carriers, customs procedures, or regional service disruptions.

International Fulfillment

To ensure competitive pricing and product availability, some of our items are shipped directly from our international fulfillment partners. Shipping origin and routes are determined automatically by our logistics providers to optimize delivery speed and cost-efficiency.

In accordance with applicable trade and import/export regulations, certain orders may be subject to duties, customs, or tax assessments upon arrival. Customers are solely responsible for any additional fees incurred at the point of entry.

Shipping Confirmation & Tracking

You will receive a confirmation email with tracking information once your order has been shipped. Please allow up to 5 business days for tracking details to become available. Tracking updates may experience temporary delays depending on the shipping carrier and route.

Shipping Errors, Lost or Delayed Packages

PrairiePets is not liable for any package that is lost, delayed, or damaged in transit once it has been handed over to the shipping carrier. Risk of loss passes to the customer upon shipment.

We are not responsible for orders marked as “Delivered” by the carrier. Please contact the shipping carrier directly in such instances. We are also not responsible for failed deliveries resulting from incorrect or incomplete shipping information entered at checkout.

Address Accuracy

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide complete and accurate shipping information. Orders placed with incomplete or incorrect addresses may be delayed or returned. PrairiePets is not responsible for additional shipping fees associated with re-delivery.

Partial Shipments

In some cases, orders containing multiple items may be shipped separately to optimize logistics. Separate tracking numbers will be provided as applicable.
